Airlet 700 Temperature Controlled Fresh Air
Inlet
The Airlet 700 is a temperature responsive air
inlet that automatically adjusts the incoming airflow according to outside
temperature. The thermally powered actuator requires no external power to
operate and the insulated front cover incorporates a condensation prevention
design.
The pre-calibrated opening on the Airlet 700
starts to close on a drop of the outside air temperature beginning at 50° F, and
is set to be completely closed at 23° F. The temperature settings are field
adjustable by simply turning the front cover. Each quarter rotation of the cover
is equivalent to approximately 1mm, or 2°F. A minimum airflow setting can also
be set, which prevents the vent from closing completely. Airlet 700's include a
permanent easily accessed washable filter, expandable wall sleeve, and exterior
louver.
The Airlet 700 is designed to supply make
up air ventilation for bedrooms and living areas, and is not intended to supply
combustion air for fireplaces or large exhaust fans, such as range hoods. The
Airlet 700 is compatible with zonal electric, radiant and hydronic heating
systems. It is not recommended for use with forced air heating systems, unless
return registers are provided in each room in which an Airlet 700 is installed.
This is to prevent exfiltration through the inlet when the forced air system is
operating and doors are closed between rooms.
