Speedheat® is
21st century technology. It
was designed to introduce the world to a new and innovative way to heat your
home on demand! Homes in America have most always used the traditional method
of heating, a central system located in an attic or basement where forced air is
directed through ducts located in the wall or ceiling. Those locations are less
than ideal because, of two simple laws of physics, hot air rises and cool air
falls!
Speedheat®’s
radiant warmth is different. It’s comfortable, clean, and efficient. The heat
is distributed evenly throughout your floor giving you a degree of comfort you
have never experienced before. Speedheat delivers true comfort from the ground
up. The technology is unsurpassed. Happy customers all over the world are
enjoying the comfort of millions and millions of square feet warmed by
Speedheat®.
What’s even
better is that you don’t have to throw out your existing system. You can enjoy
Speedheat®’s technology right now. You can retrofit Speedheat® to compliment
and enhance your current central heating system. You don’t have to wait to
refurbish or build a new home; you can move to Speedheat right now!
Can I install heating under my wall-to-wall carpeting?
At present, we are only able to offer Speedheat® for installation under area
rugs, but in the near future, you will be able to install Speedheat® under
wall-to-wall carpeting, using the services of a Certified Installer. There are
many things to consider when Speedheating® an area and only a trained Speedheat®
representative can determine the most efficient way to make Speedheat® your main
source of comfort.
Can I just plug Speedheat® into any
110VAC outlet?
Yes, you can. Speedheat® is a unique system that plugs right into the
110VAC wall socket for the
maximum of ease and simplicity.
Will
Speedheat® for area rugs heat my entire room?
It depends on how many you use, but there are many factors to take into
consideration when trying to heat an entire space. This application is for
“Zone Heating” only, or heating a defined area in which you spend a significant
amount of time. If you have more than one rug, by all means, purchase more than
one heater. You will feel the difference right away.
Is
Speedheat® safe?
Speedheat® is
100% safe and has undergone
rigorous testing, including having been completely submerged in water. Every
heater comes complete with a GFCI plug and the most advanced ground screening
system available anywhere. In the case of an electrical fault or damage to the
heater, Speedheat® shuts down immediately for the ultimate in safety.
Speedheat® is without a doubt the safest system in the world. After all, we are
the inventors, and nobody holds safety dearer than do we.
Can
Speedheat® go under furniture?
Yes and no. Any piece of furniture that rests has low or zero ground
clearance (e.g. a futon or mattress without a stand) will act as an insulator,
which could conceivably cause overheating. Any piece of furniture that has legs
can be placed on a heater without concern about damaging the heater or the
furniture. However, for the maximum comfort benefit, you will prefer that the
heater is largely uncovered.
Do I need
padding for my area rug?
Yes. It can be purchased at any home center and the type you will need is
dependent on your flooring surface. Any non-slip area rug padding will suffice.
Can an area
rug be too thin or too thick?
The thinner the better, but any rug beyond ¾ of an inch in thickness can
impede the performance of the heater. It will still function well but will just
take longer for the heat to work its way through the fibers.
What if I
want Speedheat® for under my wall-to-wall carpeting?
It will be available in the coming months, but it is likely that it will not
be available by the end of this winter season. Our suggestion is to purchase a
heater, then purchase an area rug, and enjoy Speedheat® within days. When a
retail partner is selected in your area, or a certified Speedheat® technician,
the heater that you have purchased can be installed under your existing
wall-to-wall carpet.
