Made of UL recognized and UV protected resin, this fan can be used in wet locations and outdoors (please note, this fan is not made to be used where it would be buried underground or with water going through the motor). It is perfect for use in commercial as well as residential applications. It is very easy to install and includes the mounting bracket. It is HVI certified and UL & CSA tested.

Answer: These are remote mount fans, they are not tested for sound levels, like ceiling mounted fans. Inside the living space, the sound level is under 1 sone, or in layman's terms, pretty quiet.
