Frequently Asked Questions:
| Q. |
How long
does it take to install the Fresh Air Screen? |
| A.
|
The Fresh Air
Screen takes less than 30 minutes to install. After that, it takes only a
minute to put up or take down. |
| |
|
| Q. |
Can I Leave the
Fresh Air Screen up and drive a car in and out of the garage? |
| A.
|
Yes, The Fresh
Air Screen is easily rolled up and locked into place with heavy duty
fasteners to allow you to pull your vehicle in and out of your garage with
ease. (A ¾" conduit pipe can be inserted into the Nylon pouch at the bottom
of screen to prevent irregular sagging when rolled up and to keep the screen
from swaying on windy days.) After installation, the screen never has to be
taken down. Not even to raise and lower your garage door. |
| |
|
| Q. |
Can the screen
remain in place when opening and closing the garage door? |
| A.
|
The Fresh Air
Screen does not interfere with the opening and closing of the garage door. |
| |
|
| Q.
|
Where is the
Fresh Air Screen mounted on a garage door opening? |
| A.
|
The heavy-duty
mesh Fresh Air Screen is attached to the garage doorjambs and the header |
| |
|
| Q.
|
Can the Fresh Air
Screen be left up full time? |
| A.
|
The Fresh Air
Screen is designed to be left up throughout the season. The Fresh Air Screen
is easy to install at the start of the season and easy to remove so it can
be stored for the winter months. The screen never has to be taken down to
raise and lower your garage door. |
| |
|
| Q. |
What holds the Fresh Air
Screen to the floor? |
| A. |
Nothing. However, we recommend
you put a 3/4" plastic electric conduit in the pouch that is sewn into the
bottom of the screen. This keeps the wind from blowing the screen and
also provides rigidity across the bottom of the screen. This will
allow one person to roll the screen up. |
How to Measure:
- Measure the exact width of the garage door
opening #1 and #2 (from door jamb to door jamb, not from the weather strips).
These measurements should both be the same size, but may not be. Make no
allowances.
- Measure the exact height of the garage door
opening #3 and #4 (from door header (not the weather strip) to the floor.)
These measurements should both be the same size, but may not be. Make no
allowances.
- This is the WIDTH (1st) x HEIGHT (2nd) for
your measurement. For Example 16" (width) x 7' (Height) (Make sure you
do not mix these fixes up because the screen will not fit!) NOTE: The screen
will have zippers as indicated by the blue lines.
