Debris enters the intake and travels down the tube.   The collection bag is the first of five filters.  Here the bulk of the debris is collected, allowing safe, easy disposal.  (55 gal vacuums load directly into heavy mi. disposable poly bags.   The secondary paper filter traps the larger size dust particles which escape from the collection bag, extending the life of the dacron filter bag.    The water repelling non-clinging dacron filter bag sheds water and soot, protecting the HEPA filter from moisture, larger dust particles, etc.   The micro-impact filter is composed of speciality treated high efficiency, high density, woven fiberglass designed to capture fine particles before reaching the HEPA filter.   The HEPA filter is the primary and most critical of the five stage filtration system.  Each HEPA filter is individually tested and certified to be a minimum of 99.97% (some models 99.99%) efficient at 0.3 microns by the D.O.P. Test method.   Clean air is exhausted allowing for a safer environment.
