Kerosene Heater 60,000 BTU
Kerosene heaters are used in outdoor
applications (brick and block laying, building construction) to keep workers
comfortable and to prevent newly-applied concrete from freezing. Since their
fuel source is self-contained, they’re truly portable—wheels and handles are
included. Kerosene heaters aren’t affected by fluctuations in temperature. They
provide instant, safe, portable heating at temperatures as low as minus 20º F.
The fuel system. An air pump forces compressed air through a hose and a burner
nozzle, creating a vacuum and causing fuel to rise from the tank. The air and
fuel mix to create a fine mist that’s sprayed into the combustion chamber. The
ignition/control system. The igniter mechanism provides a spark that ignites the
air-fuel mist inside the combustion chamber. The safety control system
automatically shuts down the unit in the event of loss of flame or lack of fuel.
The air system. An electric motor turns a fan that pushes air into and around
the combustion chamber, heating it and propelling it out the barrel and into the
surrounding environment.
