Laser Shield Affordable Monitored Home
Security System In A Box
Ideal for renters, small businesses, homes, job sites, condos and more!
The Laser Shield is a revolutionary new security system in a box. If you
ever worried about the security of your home or small business, but have not yet
invested in a wired alarm system because it is to expensive? You can now
stop worrying. The Laser Shield is truly a "plug and play" security
system. The Laser Shield uses state of the art wireless technology to give
its owners peace of mind. Set-up is simple and setting up the optional
monitoring service takes about five minutes via a phone call, online, fax or by
mail.
Monitoring and authority response is handled by Rapid Response Monitoring
Service, one of America's largest and most professional alarm monitoring
services. RRMS is licensed to operate in all 50 states and is certified by
the US Government and NYFD. RRMS operates from a 24/7 professionally
staffed center with redundant power and computer facilities that never skip a
beat.
Laser Shield works through infrared motion
detection and wireless technology. When it detects an intrusion, two
dramatic things happen: first 100+ decibel siren sounds to frighten off the
average burglar, secondly the Laser Shield dials the Rapid Response Monitoring
Service which calls back in under one minute, to check on safety of the
occupants and the security of the premises. If necessary, RRMS will
contact local law enforcement. Owners will be contacted immediately on
their cell phones if not at home. If owners can't be reached RRMS can
notify friends, family or neighbors.
The basic product consists of two handsomely designed modules, resembling small,
inconspicuous bookshelf speakers. The first unit is the Master Alarm Unit
(MAU), which holds the siren the dialer and a voice annunciator that will denote
the system's status. The Master Alarm Unit also features a high
sophisticated array of electronics and software, which allow the user to control
Laser Shield from a keychain remote or any touch-tone phone anywhere in the
world.
The second element is the Wireless Detection Unit (WDU), which houses the
infra-red motion detector and connects wirelessly with the Master Alarm Unit.
Each Wireless Detection Unit can protect a room of approximately 1,100 square
feet, and as many as a dozen WDU's can be lined to the Master Unit to provide
protection for additional rooms, areas, garages, etc.
The setup itself is simple. A user just plugs the Master Alarm Unit into
power and telephone, plugs the WDU into an electrical outlet, links the units
with a few touches on a keychain remote, and makes a phone call to establish
24/7 monitoring service. The process takes less than 5 minutes.
Arming is equally easy. Laser Shield can be armed and disarmed from the
keychain remote or any touch-tone phone. Panic buttons on the two remotes
and each of the wireless units provide additional personal security.
Laser Shield comes with a series of protections against annoying false alarms,
including the absence of wires, magnets and contacts which often go bad and
trigger false alarms, the lack of keypads and programs and codes to learn, and
even a pet shield to keep sugar and buttercup from triggering the alarm.
Optional Monitoring Service: $19.95 per month - with NO long term contracts.

Frequently Asked Questions:
How complicated is the programming?
Press a couple of buttons on the remote, nothing more. No complicated
coding, no programming of keypad. People have trouble programming their
VCRs. Keypad alarm systems make them crazy. Laser Shield does away
with all that.
Have their been other do-it-yourselfer alarm systems on the market before?
Yes, but first the were not plug and play like Laser Shield.
They required some installation and programming. And they are far more
complicated. Some require attachment of magnets to windows and
doors, and you still have to string wire between detection units in some cases.
Many do not come with monitoring, only a pager-alert to the owner and a siren.
None have had much success and some already have been taken off the market.
How quickly is the owner notified with Laser Shield? Usually the
premises is phoned within a minute. If the monitoring station does not
reach you at home, they'll call you on your cell phone - wherever you are.
Can a user buy more keychain remotes and wireless units? Absolutely.
What is the redundancy of the system? The Laser Shield units
includes re-chargeable back batteries. If they run low, the system dials
the monitoring station, which in turn, notifies the user.
Will the system still work if there is a pet in the house?
Yes...The Laser Shield Pet Shield can be set to accommodate the movement of a
dog or cat, and not trigger a false alarm.
Can the Laser Shield system be used when the resident is home? Yes.
It protects the interior, but if you have added a Wireless Detection Unit in the
bedroom, the unit can be easily bypassed at the push of a single button,
allowing you to move about the room. However, the panic button remains active in case of the need to summon assistance.
Warranty: Lifetime with monitoring service, without monitoring service 1 year parts and labor.
