A low voltage lighting system can add beauty
and value to your home. Prices for complete systems can very tremendously.
Generally, the cheaper the system, the sooner you will be replacing fixtures and
components to your low voltage lighting system. The low voltage lighting
fixtures and components featured here are built to last for many trouble free
years.
In the past, designing the lighting and wiring
plan was very complicated, and is the most critical part of landscape lighting.
You must be able to calculate voltage drop based on distance, wattage of each
fixture used and wire size. Why is it so complicated? Multi-tap
transformers solve voltage drop problems, but add to the complication for low
voltage wiring design. Every circuit run is different depending on
distance, wattage and wire size. Over voltage the fixtures and the lamp
life will be shortened.
A new solution in low voltage landscape
lighting that takes the complication out of low voltage wiring design. A
Regulator is used in-line on each fixture, this regulator converts voltages up
to 22 volts, down to 11.6 volts. This regulated schematic gives you a
constant 11.6 volts along the line, no matter how far or close you are to the
transformer along the line. We highly recommend a regulator at each
fixture to ensure a very fast design time, as well as even light output at every
fixture and balanced loads. |
