credit reports annually.
- Shred and destroy
unwanted documents that contain personal information.

in U.S. Postal Service collection boxes.

mail in your mailbox overnight or on weekends.

applied for a credit card and didn't receive it when expected, call the
financial institution.

Never leave
transaction receipts at ATM machines, on counters at financial institutions,
or at gasoline pumps.

Don't carry your Social
Security card or birth certificate--leave them in a secure location.

Watch for your monthly
financial statements and bills. If you don't get them when expected, contact
the sender.

Recommendations before installation:
Customers
are required to contact the local post office before installing the mailbox to
ensure its correct placement and height at the street. Generally, mailboxes are
installed at a height of 41-45 inches from the road surface to the inside floor
of the mailbox or point of mail entry and are set back 6-8 inches from front
face of curb or road edge to the mailbox door.
