Z-Bar High Power LED Desk Lamp

Z-Bar High Power LED Desk Lamp features the
next generation High Power LEDs. While keeping the award-winning Z-Bar's
contemporary design and flexibility, the Z-Bar High Power consumes less
electricity, gives a brighter and broader light, has a built-in 4-step dimmer
and is available in daylight and warm-white light models.
The new High Power lamp gives a brighter and broader light compared with the
original, while consuming only 9 Watts (less than what the original consumes),
and has a built-in 4-step dimmer. Available in daylight (~5500 Kelvin) and
warm-white (~3500 Kelvin) light models.
In short, its brightness is comparable to a bare 100W light bulb. The Z-Bar High
Power puts out 200 ~ 300 Lumens focused in roughly 65-degree angle, compared to
a 100W incandescent which emits 1500 lumens in a 360-degree viewing angle. With
the help of reflectors and light angle of the LEDs, the Z-Bar High Power puts
about 120 footcandles on the desk when its placed 15" above the desk. The
Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) recommends 70 footcandles in an office
environment.

What is the expected lifespan of the LEDs?
The High Power LEDs have a rated lifespan of up to 40,000 hours until it reaches
70% brightness. The original LEDs have a rated lifespan of 15,000 to 30,000
hours until 50% brightness.
Under normal use, LED lights will not burn out suddenly like regular bulbs or
fluorescents. Rather, they will slowly get dimmer over time. Because of this,
LEDs are generally considered to be at the end of their "useful" life when they
reach 50% brightness. This time is called their half-life, and is the same way
plasma television lifetimes are defined. Useful life for the new High Power LEDs
are rated using 70% brightness standard instead of 50%.
LED lifetime largely depends on operating environment so for best results, we
recommend an ambient temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit or lower.
What is the difference between the Warm
White and Daylight White light colors? What do they look like?
The Warm White light has a color temperature of about 3200K to 3700K. This color
would match pretty closely to the light color of an incandescent light bulb. The
Daylight White has a color temperature of about 4600K to 5600K. This color would
match pretty closely to the light color of fluorescent light.
Is the Warm White or the Daylight White a
better light color?
While we have a lot of customers telling us that they prefer the Daylight white
in a office environment to keep them alert, and the Warm White at home to feel
more comfortable, it is mainly a personal preference. |
