PureHeat 2-in-1 Space Heater
This heater is out of stock until about mid December. You can order now and it will ship when it comes in.
This small space heater puts out 5000 BTUs and efficiently heats up to 1000 square feet. It heats so efficiently because it has a cutting edge PTC (Positive Thermal Coefficient) element that heats the air efficiently without drying it out. The PTC heating element gives you the most efficient zone heating available on the market today. This heating element also heats the air without drying it out.
It also purifies the air with PCO purification what utilizes a high power germicidal UVC bulb. A space heater is a great option if you have a room that is colder than the rest of your home. Heat just that cold room instead of the entire home.
This is a very safe heater, the housing and front grille never reach high temperatures so it is safe to the touch even when the heater is on. This makes it a great space heater to have if you have kids or pets. It also has an overheat protection circuit and a tip over shut off function. You can control the heater using the front panel or the included remote control. This heater also has a quiet mode so you can run the heater while you are sleeping.
How much does it cost to operate this space heater?
This heater on its highest setting will draw about 1500 watts of power. Costs vary depending on what you pay per kilowatt hour for electricity, but typically it is 10 - 15 cents per kilowatt hour on full capacity. That being said it is not necessary to operate the heater at full capacity to keep an area warm once the area has achieved the temperature you set on the thermostat.
On this space heater, once the thermostat setting is achieved, the heater will back off on its heating capability and maintain that temperature. In the lower output, the heater typically only draws 700-800 watts, about half of the full capacity.
The other benefit of a space heater, is it allows you to create zone heating in your home. You can keep an area that is used more often warmer without having to operate the heating system for your entire home as often.
