Fantech models DBF 110, DBF 4XL and RVF 4XL are all suitable for most dryer boosting applications. Generally the models listed can be used for maximum duct length of 60 linear feet with a maximum of six elbows using four inch rigid duct. The DBF 110 Dryer Booster Inline fan addresses every obstacle. A silent partner for your dryer. The fan compensates for system duct losses and allows the dryer to exhaust warm moist air as the manufacturer intended. The fans can handle up to 60 feet of duct and six elbows. The backward blades allow lint to pass through the fan. The attached fully automatic pressure switch is mindful of your energy use, turning the fan off and on, in ten minute cycles, only while the dryer is running.

Question: Can this fan be installed on a 45 deg. vent?
Answer: The fan can be mounted at a 45 degree angle you just need to make sure that the switch is mounted in a vertical position.
Question: I am using a 4 PVC pipe (3-1516 ID) for my dryer exhaust will this fit over the intake of the booster?
Answer: The outside diameter of the Dryer Booster fan is 3.875 inches so you would need to use a coupling.
Question: Is this hardwired into electrical box or plugged into an outlet?
Answer: The Fantech DBF110 can be hardwired, or used with a line cord.
Question: what do you mean by turns off and on in ten minute cycles? Do you mean while the dryer is running it will shut off after ten minutes even if dryer is still running??
Answer: Yes, dryer booster fans all come with a pressure switch. The pressure switch senses when the dryer is on and this will engage the booster fan to run in ten minute cycles.
Question: DOES IT COME WITH A 110 PLUG?
Answer: The Fantech DBF110 does not come with a plug but one can easily be added.
Question: Can this booster fan be used with a gas dryer?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Does it come with some type of warranty?
Answer: The Fantech DBF110 has a 5 year warranty.
Question: What is the warranty for your DBF110 Dryer Booster Fan ?
Answer: The Fantech DBF110 has a five year warranty.
Question: Is this unit IRC code approved?
Answer: No.
Question: Do you make a 6 inch dryer booster fan?
Answer: A 6 inch dryer exhaust would be a commercial application and per code the motor has to be out of the air stream. So you cannot use a 6 inch inline fan for dryer boosting.
Question: Can this fan be installed outdoors?
Answer: No, the Fantech DBF110 cannot be installed outdoors. The only Dryer Booster fan rated for outdoors would be the Fantech model RVF4XL/DB10.
