HV1000-DR - Dedicated Remote Operation/R38 Operation. System uses a RF remote to operate. This system can be wired with a switch, however, when operating unit - you must either use the remote or switch - both controls cannot be used in conjunction with each other. Homeowners can now quietly and efficiently reduce the indoor air temperature of their home, while improving air quality with the Tamarack Technologies HV1000 series of Whole House Fans. When the outside temp. drops below the indoor temperature, the HV1000 will draw cooler outside air, into the home. The hot air is drawn thorough the fan and up and out of the attic through exsisting attic and roof vents. Each unit is rated to handle approximately 2000 sq ft. At 2000 sq. ft - one complete air exchange occurs every 16 minutes. For homes larger than 2000 sq. ft we would recommend the HV1600 2 speed. The motorized automatic insulated doors on the unit provide an air tight seal between the attic and living area when the unit is not in operation. The insulated doors are rated at R-22.
